“Understanding analogue and digital time”
Aramazu’s teacher resources are a tried and tested method for successfully teaching the time to children in a classroom environment.
The story-led approach makes logical sense to children and helps them to fully understand both analogue and digital time.
Suitable for entry levels for KS/1, KS/2 and Transition.
Aramazu takes a story-led approach through a series of characters and adventures, supported with a variety of online resources.
Interactive practice clocks, printable resources and lesson plans enable teachers to support children through their journey of learning about time.
“After only four lessons, 96% of the children in my class could tell the time to the hour and half past and draw these on clock faces (as per the Year 1 expected level)…. the vast majority of the class could tell the time to five minute intervals and some could do so to minute intervals. After 4 lessons!”
PB Warren Wood Primary
The Aramazu time teaching method has also proven to be effective with a variety of specific learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyspraxia and Aspergers Syndrome. The colours, stories and images help the memory to hardwire some core elements of learning about the potentially confusing concept of time. Aramazu also helps children to ‘see’ time which has been shown to support children on the autism spectrum.
